Abstract

The purpose of this study was to strengthen programming logic skills in Systems Engineering students, implementing a mobile application based on Lean Thinking concepts, supported by constant interaction with the client and a co-creation approach. The research had the following stages: first, the relevant research was carried out for the application of Lean concepts and interactive games. The requirements to cover each of the game’s sections and functionalities were then specified. Then, the development phase continued through scrum methodology, considering the previously defined functionalities and ending with the stage of tests and conclusions, which were made to first semester students of the Systems Engineering program of the University of Córdoba to observe their reactions and results in the process. The findings obtained at the conclusion of the research are the development of an interactive game focused on learning programming logic, achieving the appropriation of concepts of Programming Logic and Lean Thinking applicable to it, achieving results that demonstrated the strengthening of competencies in the appropriation of concepts associated with arithmetic and relational operators, data types, conditionals and cycles.
