Abstract

This study aims to identify and characterize the different businesses that have emerged from the rise of vallenato music and how the economy of the city has been organized to meet the demand of tourism. This has affected the business development of Valledupar, and has generated a relationship between business development and vallenato music. Around vallenato music and its cultural impact have been created organizations such as the Foundation Festival of La Vallenata Legend or others that have been organized to complement and expand the needs and demands of consumers who come to this city throughout the year. Valledupar it has been preparing to support those business initiatives that tend to improve the conditions and competitiveness of the city, making it more attractive for tourists.
